Dandelion Wishes
The 'Dandelion Wishes' painting was inspired by the dandelion logo for the IamMore Foundation. "Since they've done so much for us in the past year, I thought it would be nice to show my appreciation for them in my art. I used a mix of Photoshop's watercolor and texture brushes throughout the piece. As for the colors, I was going for a somewhat sunset-like background with reds, oranges, and yellows. The yellow being closest to the dandelion head, almost as if illuminating from the flower itself. These warm and saturated hues turned out to portray more of a wasteland-type setting than a sunset. I found it to be oddly fitting. 'A glimmer of hope in moments of despair' is how I portray it. I'm quite proud of this piece actually. And I hope you all like it too!" - Maia Shockley
